Pre-Installation checklist
(Stick This On Your ‘Fridge!)
PLEASE…complete ALL the items on this checklist the DAY BEFORE our installers arrive. Doing so will help insure a smooth, hassle-free quality installation!! (And keep your installer smiling! )
- Move large furniture (unless we are scheduled to do it)
- Think about good places the installers can move the furniture to!
- Remove knick-knacks & breakables from furniture we are moving
- Strip bedding
- Detach wiring from stereos, home theaters, etc.
- Kitchens & utility rooms—disengage washer, dryer, refrigerator, gas appliances.
- Bathrooms—remove toilet unless we are scheduled to do it
- Disconnect plumbing from sinks for countertop installation (unless we are scheduled to do it)
- Remove old carpet & cushion—unless we are scheduled to do it
- Keep work areas ventilated on day of installation (doors and windows open. Not necessary with carpet)
- Keep indoor temperature no lower than 65 degrees and no higher than 78 degrees.
- Plastic covering (for jobs requiring sanding)—plastic covering over cabinets & cupboards; seal the room against excessive dust—unless we are scheduled to do it.
- Clear carports and patios—our installers use these as “staging” areas to store materials during installation.
- Electricity to the house/building turned on—provide access to electrical outlets
- Notify us if you would like leftover pieces left behind for floor mats
