• Place a walk-off mat or runner near all entrances to your home. If a person walks 4 steps or wipes their feet 4 times, they will remove 85% of the dirt on their shoes!
• Vacuum your walk-off mats as frequently as you vacuum your high traffic areas of the home.
• Some walk-off mats are machine washable, but please check the labels first! The backing may crumble in your washing machine. If you find that your mat is not machine washable, you can use a damp cloth to clean it, or use a garden hose outside and air-dry.

• Vacuum your high traffic areas (hall, stairs, family rooms) 2-3 times per week
• Vacuum lower traffic areas once per week
